Pursuant to: California Assembly Bill 1263 (AB 1263)
Overview
In compliance with California Assembly Bill 1263 (AB 1263), Terran Gear USA is required to verify the age and shipping address of all customers placing orders with a California shipping address for firearms, firearm precursor parts, and related components.
Please make sure to perform the following steps prior to checkout:
- Add SKU "AB1263-SIGID" to your shopping cart and upload an image of your ID: "California AB1263 Compliance - Signature Fee & ID Upload"
Required Warning Acknowledgment at Checkout
Before submitting an order with a California shipping address, you will be required to review and acknowledge a warning mandated by AB 1263. This acknowledgment must be completed before checkout can be finalized.
What is AB 1263?
California Assembly Bill 1263, effective January 1, 2026, requires age and identity verification for the purchase and shipment of firearm precursor parts (including unfinished frames, receivers, and other components that can be used to manufacture firearms) to California addresses.
California Age & Shipping Verification Requirement
I understand that orders shipping to certain states require government ID verification before shipping.
California law requires us to verify your age and shipping address. After placing your order, you'll complete a quick identity verification process.
Important: Your order will ship to the address on the identification card submitted during the age and address verification process.
⚠️ California AB 1263 - Prohibited Manufacturing Activities
California law prohibits the following activities related to firearm manufacturing:
(A) Manufacturing more than three firearms per calendar year in California.
(B) Manufacturing a firearm using a three-dimensional printer or CNC milling machine.
(C) Manufacturing a firearm for the purpose of selling or transferring ownership of that firearm to another individual who is not licensed to manufacture firearms.
(D) Manufacturing a firearm for the purpose of selling, loaning, or transferring that firearm, with the intent to complete the sale, loan, or transfer without a required background check initiated by a licensed firearms dealer.
(E) Allowing, facilitating, aiding, or abetting the manufacture of a firearm by a person who is legally prohibited from possessing firearms.
(F) Manufacturing, or causing the manufacture of, assault weapons, machineguns, undetectable firearms, unserialized firearms, unsafe handguns that are not on the Department of Justice roster of handguns certified for sale in California, or other generally prohibited weapons.
Age Verification Requirements
- You must be 21 years of age or older to purchase firearm precursor parts in California
- You must provide valid government-issued photo identification
- The shipping address must match the address on your identification
- Verification must be completed before your order can ship
Acceptable Forms of Identification
You must provide ONE of the following:
- California Driver's License or California Identification Card
- Valid U.S. Passport
- Valid U.S. Military ID (active duty or retired)
- Certificate of Citizenship (INS Form N-550 or N-570)
- Certificate of Naturalization (INS Form N-560 or N-570)
- Valid Alien Registration or I-94 with valid work authorization
Requirements:
- ID must be current and not expired
- ID must clearly show your date of birth (proving you are 21+)
- Address on ID must match your shipping address
Verification Process
- Place Your Order: Complete checkout and acknowledge this policy
- Receive Verification Link: You'll receive an email with a secure verification link
- Submit Identification: Upload a clear photo or scan of your government ID
- Address Verification: Confirm your shipping address matches your ID
- Age Verification: Our system verifies you are 21+ years old
- Approval: Once verified, your order will be processed for shipment
- Shipment: Order ships to the verified address only
Critical Shipping Address Notice
Your order will ONLY ship to the address shown on your government-issued identification. We cannot ship to alternative addresses, PO boxes (unless shown on ID), or third-party locations that do not match your verified ID address.
What Happens If Verification Fails?
Your order may be cancelled and refunded if:
- You cannot provide valid government-issued identification
- Your identification shows you are under 21 years of age
- The shipping address does not match your identification
- You fail to complete verification within 7 days of order placement
- Your identification is expired or invalid
- You are prohibited from purchasing firearms or firearm parts under California or federal law
Affected Products
This verification requirement applies to California shipments of:
- Firearm precursor parts (unfinished frames and receivers)
- Complete firearms and receivers
- Firearm parts kits
- Any component defined as a firearm under California law
- Items specifically regulated under AB 1263
Privacy and Data Security
All identification information submitted for verification is:
- Transmitted via secure, encrypted connections
- Stored in compliance with California privacy laws (CCPA)
- Used solely for age and address verification purposes
- Retained only as long as legally required
- Never shared with third parties except as legally required
- Processed by trusted third-party verification services that comply with all applicable laws
Legal Compliance Statement
By purchasing from Terran Gear USA and shipping to a California address, you acknowledge that:
- You are at least 21 years of age
- You are legally allowed to possess firearms and firearm parts in California
- You will not use purchased items for any prohibited purpose outlined in AB 1263

Violations and Penalties
Violating California's firearm manufacturing laws can result in serious criminal penalties, including felony charges, imprisonment, and substantial fines. Do not purchase firearm precursor parts if you intend to use them for any prohibited purpose.

At checkout, California customers will see a checkbox with the following statement:
"I acknowledge the warning above required by California AB 1263, and that my order will ship to the address on the ID submitted during the verification process. I understand the prohibited manufacturing activities and certify that I am 21 years of age or older and legally permitted to purchase these items."
This acknowledgment must be completed before your order can be submitted.
