California Age & Shipping Verification Policy (CA Residents Only)

Overview

To comply with California Assembly Bill 1263 (AB 1263), Terran Gear USA must verify the age and shipping address of customers placing orders with a California shipping address for firearm parts and certain related products.

This policy applies only to California shipments and is required by law.

What California Customers Must Do

Before checkout can be completed for affected products shipping to California, you must:

1. Add SKU: AB1263-SIGID — California AB1263 Compliance – Signature Fee & ID Upload — to your cart.
2. Upload a government-issued ID (image size 500 KB or less).
3. Confirm your shipping address matches the address on your ID.

Required Warning & Checkout Acknowledgment

California law requires you to review and acknowledge a statutory warning before completing checkout. You must accept this acknowledgment to finalize your order.

Checkout Acknowledgment Text:

“I acknowledge the warning required by California AB 1263. I understand my order will ship only to the address shown on the ID submitted during verification. I certify that I am 21 years of age or older, legally permitted to purchase these items, and understand the prohibited firearm manufacturing activities under California law.”

What Is AB 1263?

AB 1263, effective January 1, 2026, requires age, identity, and address verification for the purchase and shipment of firearm parts and other regulated firearm components to California addresses.

Age & Address Verification Requirements

• You must be 21 years of age or older
• You must submit valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID
• The shipping address must match the address on your ID
• Verification must be completed before shipment

Acceptable Forms of Identification

Provide ONE of the following:

• California Driver’s License (Real ID)
• California Identification Card
• Valid U.S. Passport
• Valid U.S. Military ID (active or retired)
• Certificate of Citizenship (INS Form N-550 or N-570)
• Certificate of Naturalization (INS Form N-560 or N-570)
• Valid Alien Registration Card or I-94 with valid work authorization

ID Requirements:

• Current and not expired
• Clearly shows date of birth (21+)
• Address matches your shipping address

Verification Process

1. Place Your Order and acknowledge this policy
2. Receive Verification Email with a secure upload link
3. Submit Your ID (clear photo or scan)
4. Address & Age Verification is completed
5. Approval and order processing
6. Shipment to the verified address only

Critical Shipping Address Notice

Orders will ONLY ship to the address shown on your government-issued ID.

We cannot ship to:

• Alternate addresses
• Third-party locations
• PO Boxes (unless listed on your ID)

If Verification Fails

Your order may be cancelled and refunded if:

• Valid ID is not provided
• You are under 21
• Address does not match your ID
• Verification is not completed within 7 days
• ID is expired or invalid
• You are prohibited under California or federal law

Prohibited Firearm Manufacturing Activities (California Law)

California law prohibits:

• Manufacturing more than three firearms per calendar year
• Manufacturing firearms using 3D printers or CNC machines
• Manufacturing firearms for sale or transfer without a manufacturing license
• Transferring firearms without a required background check
• Assisting prohibited persons in firearm manufacturing
• Manufacturing prohibited firearms, including:
• Assault weapons
  • Machine guns
  • Undetectable or unserialized firearms
  • Unsafe handguns not on the CA DOJ roster

Affected Products

This policy applies to California shipments of:

• Firearm parts and parts kits
• Items specifically regulated under AB 1263
• Note: Firearms, Ammo and Firearm Precursor parts requiring background checks must be handled at our store in Fullerton, CA by appointment only.

Privacy & Data Security

All submitted identification data is:

• Transmitted using secure, encrypted connections
• Used only for age and address verification
• Retained only as legally required
• Never shared except as required by law

Legal Compliance Statement

By purchasing from Terran Gear USA with a California shipping address, you confirm that:

• You are at least 21 years of age
• You are legally permitted to possess firearms and firearm parts in California
• You will not use purchased items for any prohibited purpose
• You understand and will comply with all applicable laws
