Service Fee ($10) for External Retailer Parts & Accessories Orders (Per Box)
We want to keep you informed about a recent change that will affect how you receive parts and accessories in California if you use another business to ship items to our business rather than acquire your purchases from Terran Gear USA direct. Firearms/Ammo have different transfer fees.
Over the past several months, we have seen an increase in out-of-state manufacturers and retailers choosing to ship parts and accessories to California FFLs (including our store) instead of shipping directly to customers’ homes. This approach is often used to avoid the additional costs, liability, and compliance requirements associated with shipping directly to California residents.
While we understand why these retailers are making that choice, it means that the receiving FFL becomes responsible for the time, labor, storage, compliance checks, and customer coordination required to process incoming shipments. These costs are not covered by the seller and are instead passed on to the receiving FFL (eg. Terran Gear USA).
To help cover these expenses, we have implemented a $10 transfer fee per boxed order for parts and accessories shipped to us from other retailers for customer pickup. (Existing FFL Transfer Fees for Firearms, Firearm Precursor Parts, and Ammo Transfer Fees remain unchanged).
Storage Fees:
After 2 weeks from receipt of your item, you will be assessed an additional $10 fee per week for extended storage beyond the initial 2 weeks. If your item is unclaimed after 6 weeks, we will consider the item abandoned and it will become the property of Terran Gear USA. (You must schedule an appointment for pick up - NO EXCEPTIONS).
Important Shipping Approval Requirement
Customers may not have purchases from another retailer shipped directly to Terran Gear USA without prior approval. All third-party shipments must be approved in advance and confirmed by our team at sales@TerranGearUSA.com.
If we receive an unauthorized shipment at our location, the item will be rejected and returned to the sender at your expense. This policy applies to all parts and accessories sent without prior written confirmation.
How to Avoid the Transfer Fee
The good news is simple:
- If you purchase your parts or accessories directly through Terran Gear USA, there is NO $10 transfer fee.
- Ordering directly through our store ensures faster processing, fewer delays, and full compliance without added cost.
