Overview: The DPM Mechanical Recoil Reduction System for Walther PDP (4.5" & 5" barrels) is a direct replacement for the factory guide rod that gives you precise, user-adjustable recoil control. The kit uses multiple external and buffer springs so you can tune slide opening and locking forces to match compensators, ammo power, and personal preference — resulting in faster follow-ups, fewer malfunctions, and reduced felt recoil.

Compatibility

Compatible: Walther PDP 4.5" & 5.0" (also fits PDP Full Size 5.1" or Pro SD / steel & polymer frames).
Not compatible: 4.0" barrel models and PRO SD 4.6".

Suggestion: For very low-power ammunition it may not be necessary to use any buffer springs. In that configuration the system in full open position offers approximately 7 kg / 15 lbs total force.

How to Tune

Start with the recommended external spring for your ammo power.
Add or remove buffer springs (or change to a different buffer spring size) to adjust slide full-open buffer force and slide-in-battery feel.
Always test-fire safely after changes and confirm reliable feeding and extraction before regular use.
