Overview: The DPM Mechanical Recoil Reduction System is a direct drop-in replacement for the factory guide/recoil rod on Smith & Wesson M&P Shield M2.0 4" Performance Center and Shield Plus Carry Comp pistols. DPM’s multi-spring design smooths slide travel, cushions slide impact, and reduces felt recoil improving follow-up speed and extending the life of slide/frame contact areas without altering pistol configuration.

How It Works
DPM’s system uses an internal nested spring plus external tuning springs. The internal spring engages during the last millimeters of slide travel to absorb the slide’s final impact, while external springs control resistance when the slide is in battery. The combination reduces abrupt slide-frame impacts and smooths the recoil impulse for better control and faster follow-ups.
