Overview: The DPM Mechanical Recoil Reduction System is a direct, drop-in replacement for the factory guide/recoil rod on Smith & Wesson M&P PRO and M&P M2.0 5" pistols. Built around DPM’s patented multi-spring rod architecture, this kit smooths slide travel, reduces felt recoil, cushions slide impact, and improves follow-up shot speed and overall controllability without altering pistol configuration.

How It Works
DPM’s system uses a nested three-spring design. An internal spring modulates the final millimeters of slide travel so the slide never hard-contacts the frame; external springs let the shooter tune the closed-slide (battery) resistance. The result: softer perceived recoil, reduced slide impact, and more consistent cycling across ammunition types.
